Startups. The Hidden Reality Behind the Numbers.

In recent years, business talk is talk of entrepreneurial start-ups. US companies based in Silicon Valley that received venture capital doubled between 2007 and 2012. Silicon Valley is a nest of digital technology companies that develop an astonishing variety of products and services.

This reality of supporting at new enterprises hides a less exciting reality. A group of researchers dedicated to the study of this issue in the United States. This group concluded that the number of companies with less than one year fell by 50% between 1978 and 2011, with the sharpest decline was in recent years. The number of workers assigned to these companies also decreases dramatically.


This scenario was the subject of study in the United States should reflect a much wider reality and applied at least in the developed countries where the large economic groups dominate the market and leave very little space for new companies.

This study also reveals that empreenddores are less likely to create new business more than once. They also find that entrepreneurs seek more a subsistence business than a globally model business.
